AUS was recently hired to salvage a 38-foot Tai Chio Sailboat at a marina near Pasco, WA. The vessel was damaged in a winter storm and sank at her berth. The vessel was totaled by the insurance company and AUS was hired to salvage and destroy the vessel. AUS crews patched the hull, used lift bags to raise the vessel, and then pumped the vessel dry. The vessel was then towed to a deep-water port, craned from the water and demolished with an excavator. What could have been recycled was recycled while the remaining went to an upland landfill for disposal. The project was performed on time, within budget and accident free.
