Project Summary:

A Construction Project Manager, or Commercial Construction Project Manager, plans and oversees the building process of various construction projects from start to finish. Their duties include building and staying within the budget, retrieving the necessary permits to construct in certain communities and communicating the client’s goals for certain projects to the subcontractors and construction workers. Duties also include working with the Estimator to develop cost estimates, creating schedules, submittal paperwork, responding to issues and delays, collaborating with the owner, engineers and architects, communicating with the client about progress and ensuring safety regulations and codes are met.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Construction Engineering Management, Civil and or Mechanical Engineering or other relater preferred field.
  • OSHA 30 certification

 

Experience:

  • 6 + years in the Construction Industry
  • 5 + years in the Commercial Diving and or Marine Construction Industry
  • 6 + years’ experience in Management roles


Knowledge / Skills:

  • Knowledge of Commercial Diving Regulations (OSHA,WISHA,EM-385-1-1)
  • Knowledge of Marine Construction methods
  • Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Project, PowerPoint, ect…)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Planning and project management skills
  • Interpersonal and Team Building skills


Responsibilities:

  • Reviews, Understands Budgets, Project Schedules
  • Assists with constructability reviews
  • Develops and maintains submittal register and submittal paperwork
  • Develops and maintains safety protocols and paperwork for certain projects
  • Works with the client, clients agent, owners and architect to resolve construction problems, conflict management and improve construction methods
  • Assist the Estimator with invoicing per the contract
  • Assists the estimator with change orders
  • Conifers with supervisory personnel and subcontractors engaged with AUS projects
  • Construction project oversight from start to finish
  • Maintains a SAFE work environment
  • Inspects work to maintain QA/QC, Construction schedule
