AUS Divers on Pier 69 Emergency Salvage
After a construction barge broke loose on Pier 69, AUS was called to provide emergency salvage services to locate and recover construction materials that fell from the barge. AUS crews also inspected the Pier face to check for damage the loose barge may have caused.
Dive depths reached approximately 50 feet and HP surface supplied breathing air was used. All dive operations were conducted with cameras mounted on diver’s helmets, allowing for topside monitoring.
